The following message from murhy forum over 3 years ago is still true. Correct? I cannot mail the renewed parole to my wife if she stays beyond the expiry of current parole.

It looks like this including dependents -- good news.
According to:

there were about 320K applications (likely primary applications). Remember that July fiasco only affected EB (not family based).

So that's only 5 years to clear the backlog, assuming minimal lost GC, and no new applications by ROW (thus reducing or stopping spill over). Of course ROW will continue to create new applications.

My GC is approved but still I want to continue my contribution (in steps of $20) for this good cause....However, I dont see any $20 contributions for last couple of weeks..Is it possible to start contribution of $20 for guy like me who have GC & wants to help for this cause?

We took out the $20 per month option. We had that option for $20 per month for 6 months and only 200+ people signed up out of several thousand members who visit the site everyday. This happened when we announced that we may have to close this site and our work for lack of funds. After seeing lack of appreciation from members, running an organization and putting effort then seems useless to us in the core team. Why should we spend so much time and energy on something that only few people appreciate out of thousands in this community? Why should we run an organization where only a handful want to help out and everyone else is only interested in asking questions, complaining , picking up fights with others, criticizing IV?
Many people wrote to us saying $20 is too high and it should be reduced to $10 or even $1 per month and then everyone will contribute.
So pls tell us how we can survive with such amounts when others are spending hundreds or thousands and millions to prevent our bill?
Lack of funds affect our ability to go all out and get the work done. Lobbying is no charity. So unless each and every member feels to contribute from his/her heart contributions will not happen.

I filed it last year oct in VSC. got an rfe last month. i haven't received any case transfer notice. I am planning to answer rfe to VSC. My recepit number starts with EAC.
just one question.
when you said it was filed with NSC and now transfered to TSC. apart from the recipt from NSC that your case is transfered what else could tell us that the case is transfered..like
a) does the receipt number change
b) when we input the previous number in uscis.gov does it say that your case has been transfered.

I'm trying to see the list of people who applied EB2 at NSC in 2006 and still waiting for updates/result.
Please keep updating this thread with ur dates and updates like if any SR was raised, any LUD's after ND etc.
Mine RD is Dec 11 2006...no updates till now.SR was raised on 20th oct 2007.
We will try to track if people get updates after posting here.

I know some of you will be attending the Rally in DC on Sep 18th.
But most wont be attending the rally in DC on the 18th. Wouldnt it be good if the people who are not able to attend the DC rally conduct a rally in Texas at the same day.
This way, there will be a multi pronged effect. In fact, it would have an even greater effect if simultaneous rallies are held in other places too. Like
West Coast (Bay area )
Midwest (Chicago)
Texas (one of the major cities - Dallas, Austin or Houston)
Think of all the local media attention this gets & also the ripple effect into national media.
Any thoughts ??

I'd say proceed with filing 485 for now and later you can think about porting etc.
Rather try filing it yourself and save lawyer fees ($1500 per primary applicant and $2000 for primary + dependent? geez this is a special offer?)

First of all, this is a wrong forum to went our your points about illegals.. We in IV encourage a legal immigration. But the moment we start excluding people, the list can go on and on.. You start with so called illegasl today (with due sympathy for using that word..), but this exclusion will go on to legals, new doctors, engineers willing to come, settle and work in USA. Remember this is a land of immigrants. If you have any doubt, just look at the new bills introduced by senators to effectively kill H1B program the only legal option for most educated to come to US.
Lets for instance say we want everyone to go back to their own countries.. Where do you want to draw that line to go back, 1980?, 1900? how about 1600??
Grow up and learn to innovate new ways to get employed and live a happy life. Don't try to ruin the very foundation on which this country is built. Trust me there are more patriots in this forum than you could imagine..
