I did get LUDs today. Both mine and my husbands I-485 and I-131. But nothing on I-765. Anyone has any idea why they took FP when my I-140 and EAD still pending?

Pamposh - Point is not we getting money, idea is getting it back from USCIS. Whoever paid it, USCIS got it. Moreover, money is not the only issue. There are quite a few as we listed before.
Completely agreed. It is not about money, that is just a small portion of the whole issue and it does not matter who paid it. Infact even if the employer is paying for our application he/she is not paying it for free, they pay coz we work for them so logically it could be considered our money...that is what we need to emphasize on.
Its ideal, we dont waste our energy on these.
I don't think we are wasting energy/time by identifying gaps and answering questions to folks who want to know more about what exactly are we talking about here. Moving on and gaining more and more support etc., all these things need to be done in parallel.

This is my first post.
My Employer's Inhouse Attorney ( one of big 4 ) says technically EB dependents ( all 1,2,3) must be classified under FAMILY quota. USCIS mis classifies them under EMPLOYMENT quota.
Is he technically correct ?
Since, Most of dependents will not be affected when they are classified under Family quota (as they have AP and EAD).
Can IV possibly consider for push for reclassification of Dependents under Family Quota ? This will reduce backlog.
Please don't take it out of context, I am not trying to hurt any EB dependents, I too have a spouse working part time using beneficiary EAD. This is more of an open question.
Will you join our hands in recapture ? Will you considering contributing to IV. I will be happy if you can activlly participate in our effort.

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.

Correct me If I am wrong
out of 45K members let's assume 22.5 K are EB2 and 22.5 K are EB3.
Even If 11.25K (EB2)+11.25K (EB3) = 22.5 K (Total) contributes $25 Each Problems gets solved ... but the catch is ....
Even 11.25 K EB2 members are not contributing because they don't have to as their problem is solved
Even 11.25 K EB3 members are not contributing because they are not sure even with this contribution their problems gets solved.
Many people are saying that EB3 members are not contributing that's why you are lagging etc...
EB3 Members who contributed are feeling the pain because even after contribution they are not getting the results and EB2 members who didn't contributed are getting the results...
Could you elaborate on how the money will solve the problem? If we could make a laundry list of action items and cost for each, we could do an extensive email campaign among all our members and convince them to contribute
More people will contribute if and when they get a clear picture of how the money will work for them

You can do all you want and be as blunt. USCIS doesn't have to answer to you. Stop chanting the "HIGHLY SKILLED", paying all taxes, nonsense. You were not brought to the USA at gun point. You chose to come (and stay). The USA can just put one ad in the newspaper anywhere in the world and there will be 10 million highly skilled NEW people they can bring. They do not need you (us). My problem is simple.. do not misrepresent the facts, which is what seems to be the case here.. How can you have a H1 and not get paid??? Do you have any other logical reasoning? If the person has H1 and is not getting paid then there can only be two lawful situations: 1) person is on leave of absence, which is without pay or 2) has not yet started the job.
To answer your questions, yes my wife came here on H4 but she just did not approach a consultant for a job.. instead she went to school, got her degree, applied for jobs, gave interviews and finally got a job. BTW her company does not work with consultants, as it is not an IT company but a finance Big4. They used their own attorney to file for her H1. As luck could have, her application was not even considered as it did not come in the lottery draw. This happened twice.. Later we got our EAD and she started working with it. And yes, I know few more people who went through the same thing.. and all of them went to school in the US.

Just wanted to give you an update on my FP notice. Finally I got FP notice today schedule for 01/29/08. I guess Infopass appointment works. I had infopass appointment on 21st of Dec 2007 and IO told me I should expect FP within 3 weeks . I guess USCIS has started working after a long break. Hang on guys.

The filing date on SR is manually entered by the person opening the SR. It has got nothing to do with your real filing date. All that matters on the SR is your A#.
I saw in reply letter, it's written A# not available. Looks like that lady did not send A# in SR. Anyway, I've contacted senator for help :cool:
